JAKARTA, ULTIMOPARADISO – The Singapore Airlines (SIA) group of companies will resume flights and improve services to more key destinations across its network in the coming weeks, including destinations in key East Asian markets as border restrictions ease across the region.
This will enable SIA and Scoot to meet the high demand for international travel especially ahead of the year-end holiday season and in the first quarter of 2023.

The SIA group of companies aims to offer our customers more value and choice when they are making holiday plans, and we will be quick to adapt our services and respond to air travel requests.”
Japan
From 30 October 2022, SIA will operate the SQ636 flight, an additional daily service to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, in addition to the already operating daily SQ634 to Haneda and the SQ638 daily service to Tokyo’s Narita Airport. Together with the SQ12 daily service from Singapore to Los Angeles via Tokyo (Narita), SIA will operate four daily services to Tokyo, the capital city of Japan.
SIA will resume flight SQ618 from Singapore to Osaka on 30 October 2022, bringing the service between Singapore and Osaka to twice a day. SQ656 service to Fukuoka will be increased to three flights per week.
Currently, Scoot operates daily flights to Tokyo (Narita), as well as four times a week flights to Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei, and five times weekly flights to Osaka. Starting October 30, 2022, the frequency of flights TR808 to Tokyo (Narita), TR898 to Tokyo (Narita) via Taipei, and TR818 to Osaka, will all increase to daily services. Scoot will also operate SQ890, a four-week seasonal non-stop flight to Sapporo from November 2, 2022 to February 27, 2023. Three-week flights to Sapporo via Taipei on TR892 will also commence on November 1, 2022.
South Korea
Starting October 30, 2022, SIA will add flight SQ606, a new daily service to Seoul. Together with the current daily SQ600 and SQ608 services to Seoul, this will increase the frequency of SIA’s flights to the South Korean capital to three times a day.
On 30 October 2022, Scoot will reactivate flight TR896 as a Singapore-Taipei-Seoul service five times a week. Starting November 5, 2022, Scoot will also increase the frequency of flights to Jeju to five times a week, from the current three times a week service.
Taiwan, China
Starting October 31, 2022, flight SQ876 will be reactivated as a four-weekly service to Taipei. This is in addition to the SQ878’s current three-week service to Taipei.
With the improvement of Scoot’s services to Tokyo (Narita) and Sapporo via Taipei, and the restoration of Singapore-Taipei-Seoul services, the airline will operate 18 flights a week to Taipei.
Hong Kong
SIA aims to increase its twice-daily service to Hong Kong, to three times daily, subject to regulatory approval.
Scoot currently operates four times a week services to Hong Kong. Starting October 30, 2022, the flight frequency will be increased to daily service.
Mainland China
SIA reactivated its Beijing-Singapore service twice weekly on 27 September 2022. SIA will reopen its SQ842, weekly service to Chengdu from 11 October 2022, and aims to increase the frequency and continue services to more destinations in mainland China, if required. obtain regulatory approval.
Scoot reopens weekly flights to Fuzhou and increases the frequency of flights to Nanjing to twice weekly on 26 September 2022. Scoot reopens weekly TR188 flights to Hangzhou from 3 October 2022, weekly TR116 services to Zhengzhou from 12 October 2022, and weekly TR120 flight service to Wuhan starting October 13, 2022. Starting October 11, 2022, flight TR138 to Tianjin will be upgraded to a twice-weekly service, up from the current one-week service.
In October, Scoot will also open flights to Lombok and Makassar in Indonesia, and reactivate services to Pekanbaru and Yogyakarta.
The SIA Group company passenger network is projected to cover 110 destinations in 36 countries and territories by November 1, 2022. The SIA Group company company will continue to closely monitor air travel demand and align services with demand.***go
