BALI – Nakula Villa Management & Rental in collaboration with Sinar Photo, Bali Citra Kebaya and the Bali International Polytechnic (PIB) held the 2022 Photography Competition; Photo Competition, Workshop & Tutorial as well as Fashion Show attended by 40 participants and held at Amarta Beachfront Resort & Spa, Tabanan, Bali on Sunday (24/10).
The theme of this activity is “The moment in your lens to BACK UP” with the aim of introducing the tourist destinations of Pasut Beach and the Tabanan area to tourists. This activity is also intended to promote the work of Local Designers and support photographers in improving their photography skills and selling photography services to prospective clients.
As we know, Tourism involves many things ranging from Destinations, Infrastructure, Accommodation, Culture, Human Resources including the Government or related bodies which are all summarized in the Pentahelix concept which is a collaboration between the Government, Entrepreneurs, Academics, Communities, and Media
The Creative Industry which is one of the parties (stakeholders) involved in Tourism is an important component as well. The creative industries include Photography and Fashion which strongly support the implementation of tourism activities which are the reasons for the arrival of tourists to the island of Bali.
Bali is not only famous for its beautiful nature, unique culture and the attractive hospitality of its people, it is also known as a worldwide wedding destination and has attracted many tourists to visit Bali to get married and celebrate special moments in their lives. And to capture that moment, this is where photography and fashion will play a very important role.

For this reason, Amarta Beachfront Resort & Spa collaborated with Sinar Photo, Bali Citra Kebaya and the Bali International Polytechnic to hold the 2022 Photography Competition. At this event, a Photo Competition, Workshop & Tutorial and Fashion Show were held which invited 2 resource persons including Gusde and Andri Wilianto who is a practitioner, academic as well as entrepreneur in the field of photography.
Sankarsana Satria, General Manager Corporate Nakula Villa Management & Rental revealed that this event aims to show the public that in Kerambitan, Tabanan there is a beautiful Pasut Beach, there is accommodation (Amarta Beachfront Resort & Spa) that is no less beautiful. Satria is also open to cooperating with other parties to collaborate, synergize and inspire our collective spirit so that we can bounce back from the pandemic and be better than before.
Also present at this event, Anak Agung Ngurah Agung Bagus Erawan as a Figure and Leader (Penglingsir) from Puri Anyar Kerambitan who introduced Kerambitan as a Tourist Destination in Tabanan Regency. Agung Bagus Erawan also said that Kerambitan has various tourism potentials but has not been widely exposed. He specifically asked the media and related parties to promote Kerambitan as a tourist destination.
The history of Kerambitan and especially Puri Kerambitan which was built in 1675 is described by Agung Bagus Erawan and even invites all parties to visit Puri Kerambitan to enjoy Historical and Cultural Tourism where in Puri Kerambitan there are many Historic Antique buildings.
All of these will be very interesting to be used as Cultural Tourism or Photo Spots, said Agung Bagus Erawan.
Meanwhile, the Bali International Polytechnic Campus (PIB) represented by Ganang Aditiyo Prakoso expressed his enthusiasm in attending and supporting this event. Bali International Polytechnic as a Polytechnic located in Tabanan wants to play an active role in advancing Bali Tourism and its Special Tabanan through qualified graduates who have digital qualifications and study programs that support this direction such as Photography and Museum and Art Handler which will be launched in soon.
No less enthusiasm was also shown by representatives from the Tabanan Tourism Office and the Tabanan Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) who conveyed the importance of Digitalization in Tourism in the future.
This is important to support promotional activities in order to increase tourist visits to Tabanan which will later help the economy in the Tabanan area itself. The government is very supportive of holding events like this and this is in line with government promotion programs and related agencies to work together to overcome the challenges faced because there is still a lot of potential from Tabanan Regency, which is known as the “Barn of Rice” of Bali besides Tanah Lot, Jatiluwih or Ulun Danu Bedugul Temple which is already known by tourists. This event also answered the challenge of promoting Pasut Beach Tourism Destinations, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency where with strong collaboration and synergy between Amarta Beachfront Resort & Spa, Tabanan Tourism Office, Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD) Tabanan, Bali International Polytechnic (PIB) , Puri Anyar Kerambitan, resource persons for practitioners and entrepreneurs in the field of photography, the Photography Community and the Media, are expected to advance Bali Tourism.
This event is considered as the initial milestone for the revival of tourism in Bali, especially Tabanan. This event was lively until the end and was won by MSP Sapoetra as the first winner, Dampal as the second winner and Agustinus as the third winner. Each winner is entitled to a prize in the form of cash and attractive gifts. In addition to the main winner, this competition also crowned Endrik Gunawan as the chosen champion who was entitled to a scholarship worth 74 million from the Bali International Polytechnic.
