BALI – Manulife Indonesia and KitaOneUs.Asia provide environmental care experiences to 70 deaf and autistic children in Bali. The children from the State Special School (SLB N ) 2 and SLB N 3 Denpasar were invited to clean the beach and release hatchlings (turtle chicks) at Berawa Beach, in front of Atlas Beach Club Bali on Friday (5/11).
This experience is a rare opportunity for Manulife Indonesia and children with disabilities to build awareness and commitment to support environmental conservation and turtle habitat sustainability.
Apriliani Siregar, Director and Chief Legal & Compliance Officer of Manulife Indonesia in a press statement at the Atlas Beach Club explained that Manulife continues to strengthen its commitment to making life better, protecting the environment and also empowering sustainable health and well-being through these activities. This is in line with Manulife’s CSR commitment to realize the corporate value of share our humanity.
“This activity with children with disabilities is a manifestation of Manulife’s concern for children so that they have the spirit and hope for life and also keep the environment beautiful,” said Apriliani.

Ulfah also explained that the purpose of this activity is to voice the existence of children with disabilities in Indonesia, encourage children with disabilities to be able to participate and play a role in protecting the environment, increase public awareness to accept and provide space for children with disabilities around them so that they can realizing a diverse and inclusive Indonesia as well as increasing knowledge and insight about the environment for children with disabilities.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Atlas Beach Club, Albert Purba, also expressed his appreciation for this activity. Albert also expressed his appreciation and support for Manulife Indonesia and the KitaOneUs Indonesia Foundation, which cares for children with disabilities in Indonesia. According to Albert, Atlas Beach Club is always open to humanitarian activities and concern for environmental sustainability.
Meanwhile, Assistant I of the Bali Provincial Secretariat, I Gde Indra Dewa Putra, who represented the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, who participated in the activities for children with disabilities, also expressed his appreciation.
