YOGYAKARTA – The 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) series was also filled with a number of activities, one of which was the “Indonesian Tourism Exhibition, MSME Creative Economy and Culinary Festival” which was attended by more than 160 MSME players, local governments, and the tourism industry from various regions of the country .
The exhibition will take place in Hall A of the Jogja Expo Center from 2 to 5 February 2023.
Advisor to the Dharma Wanita Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf Association, Nur Asia Uno, said in the opening of the exhibition that this activity was an opportunity for participants, especially local governments, the regional tourism industry, as well as MSME players and the creative economy industry to sell superior products.
“Our MSMEs are currently very innovative in improving product quality and highlighting regional characteristics. Therefore, we must be able to contribute to encouraging Indonesian MSMEs by shopping for domestic products. We are proud to be made in Indonesia,” said Nur Asia Uno.
This activity is an example that tourism and the creative economy can collaborate to improve and develop more intensive and sustainable MSMEs so that they can become the driving force of the community’s economy.
“The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy encourages local MSMEs and millennials to continue to develop and run and get a place in organizing exhibitions in Indonesia. This is a concrete step that we are taking to increase the creation and development of a sustainable tourism industry and creative economy,” said Nur Asia Uno.
He hopes that this exhibition can be a motivation for all parties to jointly revive the Indonesian economy under the umbrella of adaptation, collaboration and innovation strategies. MSMEs must be able to maximize technology in order to improve product quality and market expansion.
“During the pandemic, 17.5 million MSMEs have entered the digital ecosystem, so it is hoped that the target of 30 million digitalized MSMEs can be achieved in 2024. Apart from that, we must also emphasize the role of women, which is a condition for creating strength, resilience, and prosperity. sustainable economy,” said Nur Asia Uno.
Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas, on the same occasion, said that the tourism industry is currently increasing again, especially in Yogyakarta. Therefore, he hopes that the implementation of the ASEAN Tourism Forum with a whole series of activities in it can have a broad impact on the people’s economy.
It is believed that all parties, including the delegates, will see and study the rapid development of tourism in Indonesia and Yogyakarta, especially after the pandemic.
“Jogja as the host will try its best to show excellence and specificity in the development of tourism and MSMEs,” said GKR Hemas.
Meanwhile, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Bendara as Chair of the Committee for the Indonesian Tourism Exhibition, MSME Creative Economy, & Culinary Festival, said that this activity was a differentiator from the previous ATF.
This exhibition opens opportunities for participants, especially local governments, the regional tourism industry to rebound or increase sales, as well as for MSME players and the creative economy industry to sell their superior products and expand markets.
In this activity, various promotional and cultural activities were also displayed to attract more visitors.
