BALI – PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a BUMN developer and manager of tourism areas in Indonesia, participated in the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2023, to promote tourism destinations: The Nusa Dua, The Mandalika and Golo Mori.
The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) is the largest annual tourism event in the Southeast Asian region to promote the ASEAN region as a tourist destination in the world. With the theme “ASEAN: A Journey to Wonderful Destinations” ATF 2023 will be held on 2-5 February 2023 at the JogJa Expo Center, Yogyakarta.
ATF 2023 is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants from 25 countries, including the National Tourism Organization (NTO), ministers and tourism officials, exhibitors, international buyers, international and national media, as well as trade visitors in the tourism industry.
ITDC Business Development Director Ema Widiastuti said, “ATF 2023 is a strategic event for ITDC, to showcase products and concepts for developing sustainable tourism areas at The Nusa Dua, The Mandalika and Golo Mori Labuan Bajo. Through ITDC’s participation in the travel exchange event which is targeted to be attended by 2,000 sellers and 500 buyers, we hope that the destinations we manage can be increasingly recognized and become one of the prima donnas of business and tourism destinations in Indonesia, ASEAN and even the world, which will support the rise of national tourism. ”
At ATF 2023, ITDC is promoting The Nusa Dua Bali as one of the best integrated tourism areas in Indonesia; has 19 hotels or the equivalent of 4,800 rooms in operation as well as MICE facilities that can accommodate more than 20,000 delegates, which makes The Nusa Dua a venue for holding various MICE and events on a national and international scale. Complementing the accommodation and MICE facilities, at The Nusa Dua there is also the Bali Collection shopping center, the Pasifika Museum and the Bali Nusa Dua Theater.
Other facilities that are also available are an international hospital and an 18 hole golf course.
ITDC is also promoting the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), as a Sport Tourism Destination with the flagship attraction of the Mandalika Circuit which is the venue for the international World Superbike (WSBK) and MotoGP racing events, which have become a new attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. In 2023 the Mandalika Circuit will again host the WSBK event on March 3-5, 2023 and the MotoGP event on October 13-15, 2023.
The MICE area in Golo Mori, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), is currently being developed by ITDC to become an international standard area to host various world heads of state meetings. The MICE area, which is equipped with a beach club, observation deck, and a wooden pier, is planned by the Government to become one of the venues for the 2023 ASEAN Summit activities.
Apart from promoting The Nusa Dua Tourism Area, The Mandalika and Golo Mori, ITDC also introduced a business unit of the ITDC Group, namely Xplorin, which focuses on the business of travel management and ticketing systems based on digital platforms and activation enablers.
At ATF 2023, ITDC not only promotes existing facilities in managed tourism areas, but also strengthens networking with potential partners and opens opportunities for tourism actors to collaborate with ITDC.
