BALI – ASTINDO TRAVEL FAIR 2023 was officially opened by the Head of Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Tjok Bagus Pemayun at Lippo Mall Kuta, Friday (24/5). The Travel Fair which took place January 24 – 26 was attended by 12 Travel Agents, 3 partners and 14 supporting airlines who are ready to make this event a success by spreading various attractive promos throughout 2023.
Tjok Bagus Pemayun hopes that the Astindo Travel Fair will help meet the target of visiting domestic tourists (wisdom) to Bali during 2023 of 8 million people.
“I really appreciate this Travel Fair activity, because at this time Bali really needs activities that can revive the tourism business so that it can attract more tourists to come to Bali,” said Tjok Pemayun.
Since the beginning of 2020 Bali has faced the toughest test that we have never experienced in previous times. Therefore, starting in 2022, we must start to dare to promote again by holding various travel fairs, sales missions, exhibitions and organizing tourism events. Having activities such as the Astindo Travel Fair will provide an opportunity for members, especially to be able to market their products, so that they can be recognized by the public and potential tourists so that there will be economic movement and have an impact on society.
Tjok Pemayun further emphasized that our task in 2023 is to maintain and if possible increase what was achieved in 2022. Therefore, the participation of all components is highly expected.
“Let’s create a variety of creativity in order to accelerate the recovery of Bali tourism, as well as restore the economy of the Balinese people. Let’s encourage them to continue carrying out activities such as the ASTINDO TRAVEL FAIR 2023,” said the Head of the Bali Tourism and Tourism Office.
ASTINDO Travel Fair 2023 which was held at Lippo Mall Kuta 24-26 February is the largest travel exhibition event in Indonesia held by ASTINDO DPD Bali.
This year ASTINDO Travel Fair is again collaborating with BCA as the Official Bank Partner and also the Official Insurance Partner. and implemented simultaneously in Jakarta, Medan and Bali.
Chairperson of ASTINDO, Pauline Suharno, welcomed the holding of the 2023 ASTINDO Travel Fair which is entering its 13th year of implementation.
“Entering the 13th year of organizing is not easy. What’s more, the tourism industry has experienced a downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic for two years. However, thanks to the consistency and hard work of all parties involved, as well as support from tourism stakeholders including banking and insurance partners, ASTINDO Travel Fair is able to maintain its existence as one of the largest and most comprehensive travel fairs in Indonesia.

“During the three days of implementation, we are targeting the number of visitors to be 10,000 people with an estimated sales volume of around Rp. 18 billion sees the business situation of the tourism industry, which has not yet returned to its pre-covid position. The target value for business transactions will be obtained from the sale of tickets (tickets issued) for international and domestic routes, cruises as well as domestic and foreign tour packages,” said Simon.
