BALI, ULTIMOPARADISO – Apart from necessity, healthy living is currently becoming a lifestyle. How could it not be, more people are realizing how important it is to live a healthy life both physically and mentally.
To celebrate the 7th World Wellness Weekend falls on 15-17 September, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach held the Nikko Wellness Weekend by organizing a free yoga class which was attended by 30 in-house guests at the hotel and employees on 15 September. The yoga class lasted for 60 minutes from 17:00. The event continued by enjoying refreshments and healthy dishes such as avocado spread sandwiches, fruit skewers, yogurt, and infused water served by the hotel kitchen team.“I didn’t expect that many employees have been aware of the wellness all this time. From those who regulate their diet, get enough sleep, and consume enough water to meet their body’s needs even though they are always busy with work and daily activities, there are even those who diligently carry out regular workout such as fitness, yoga, running, swimming, and many more. Our employee’s wellness can be seen through short videos that have been uploaded on our social media, both Instagram and Facebook. Meanwhile, the full version can be watched on our YouTube channel.” Said Takashi Hoshino, General Manager at Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach.
He added, “What we have done is one step towards realizing wellness tourism where Bali is one of the most visited islands for this purpose. And we hope that what we have uploaded can motivate those who are now starting to live wellness amidst their busy daily lives.”
Whilst implementing healthy living carried out by employees of the hotel, the other activity executed on 16 September was beach clean-up. Furthermore, being a regular activity established by hotels that are committed to striving to support environmental sustainability, this is also delivered out to commemorate the International Coastal Clean-up.
“As we have done before, we focus on collecting plastic waste and various kinds of non-organic waste that are not easily decomposed naturally, then we sort them, then we sorted it, and the total waste we managed to collect weighed 94.8 kg. This is not only beneficial for our guests who want to enjoy a clean beach that matches their expectations for a holiday, but also as an education for all of us that it is important to reduce the use of single-use plastic materials in daily life so that we can achieve sustainable living. For the sake of the Planet Earth.” Said Made Suganda, Room Division Manager at Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach.***
