Art Exhibition in Collaboration: SANGGAR BARES and ARTOTEL SANUR – BALI
BALI, ULTIMOPARADISO.COM – This time ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali is collaborating with Balinese artists who are members of a forum called Sanggar Bares. The exhibition is titled ‘Colorful Souls’. The exhibition opened on February 19, 2024, at ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali.
This exhibition presents the artworks of four young artists who are members of SanggarBares, namely I Made Ananda Krisna (Nanda), I Wayan Dendy Permana (Dendy), Ida Ayu Gayatri Pradnya Kumala (Dayu), and Ni Nyoman Aura Komala Dewi (Aura). The lines and colors they create reflect their own stories, narratives, and imaginary characters – together they become “Colourful Souls”.
The development of the works by the four artists of Sanggar Bares in “Colourful Souls”showcases a work that is confident and free. The artworks are full of creativity without the boundaries of art conventions. Inside the artworks of the “Colorful Souls” artists, we borrow the lens of children’s creativity. Where they are so free and flow intuitively.The results of their experiments show a level of earnestness and concentration that blends with their artistic expression, but of course, each child has a unique soul.
Sanggar Bares is located in Lodtunduh. One of the many villages or areas in Bali where art seems to thrive. Its founder and director, Nyoman Bratayasa, studied painting since childhood and studied economics. He felt the need to develop the potential for creativity from an early age. So Sanggar Bares was created in 2017.
Agus Ade Surya Wirawan, General Manager of ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali said, “ARTOTEL Sanur continues to maintain a good relationship with local artists bycontinuing to collaborate and hold art exhibitions. This time Sanggar Bares, which has
become a place to preserve art and guide children to love art from an early age, was established in 2017. We hope that the younger generation’s interest in art will continue to persist for the sake of art preservation in Indonesia, especially in Bali.”
The ‘Colorful Souls’ art exhibition is open to the public from February 19 to April 19,2024. ***
