GIANYAR, ULTIMOPARADISO.COM – Every year, Bali Safari Park shows its commitment to taking care of the environment and giving back to the local community. To mark Earth Day on April 22, 2024, with the theme “Nurture the Nature,” Taman Safari Bali distributed 100 young trees to nearby villages in Gianyar, Bali, including Serongga Village, Medahan Village, and Lebih Village.
Earth Day is a special time to recognize the importance of preserving all life on Earth. Taman Safari Bali is aware of the risks posed by illegal building and farming in green areas to the balance of our ecosystem.
Ida Ayu Ari Janiawati, an Animal Curator at Taman Safari Bali, said We hope these trees will make the villages greener and provide small homes for wildlife like birds and squirrels.
“Our educational team’s goal is to increase awareness about the environment starting with planting trees. We hope these trees will make the villages greener and provide small homes for wildlife like birds and squirrels.”said Ida Ayu Ari Janiawati.
“This is part of Taman Safari Bali’s commitment to being a place for fun, learning, and wildlife conservation. We hope this activity helps to preserve the environment for the villages involved,” said Inneke Ficianirum, Head of Marketing at Bali Safari Park.
The young trees were given symbolically to representatives from Serongga Village, Medahan Village, and Lebih Village. Then, the trees were planted together at chosen spots, with a lot of excitement from the villagers.
I Nyoman Mantriasa, Head of Serongga Village, say thank you to Bali Safari for taking care of his village.
“We support taking care of the environment and thank Taman Safari Bali for working with us,”said Nyoman Mantriasa.
