BALI, ULTIMOPARADISO.COM – The largest annual tourism exhibition in Indonesia, Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF), returns for its 10th edition at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), Nusa Dua, from 12 to 14 June 2024. BBTF welcomes stakeholders , industry experts, tourism professionals and travel enthusiasts from around the world. The Denpasar City Government did not miss out on taking advantage of this moment. Together with the Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (BPPD) Denpasar City then collaborated with a number of tourism stakeholders to attend and take part in this international event.
This year, BBTF recorded extraordinary participation from 45 countries registered as buyers and sellers from eight countries, including Indonesia. This event is clear evidence of Indonesia’s attractiveness as a global tourist destination and BBTF’s commitment to connecting tourism industry players.
“So it is appropriate for the City of Denpasar to collaborate with tourism stakeholders to open a booth to promote Denpasar City tourism at the BBTF 2024 event,” said the Head of the Denpasar City Tourism Office, Ni Luh Putu Riyastiti, S.S., M.Par at BICC Nusa Dua Bali.
With the theme “Exploring and Experiencing the Sense of Indonesia’s Beauty”, BBTF 2024 aims to strengthen Indonesia’s position as a major tourist destination. This exhibition will highlight various interesting tourist attractions and attractions in Indonesia, promote sustainable tourism practices, and encourage collaboration between stakeholders to advance the national tourism industry. Including Bali, more specifically the city of Denpasar.
Chairman of the Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (BPPD) of Denpasar City, Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra or better known as Gusde, stated that BBTF indeed displays various tourist destinations from all over Indonesia, thereby enabling participants to learn about the unique culture, nature and tourist attractions that each region has to offer. For example, Denpasar City is showing itself again this time by opening a booth for BBTF 2024 in Hall 2, BICC and showcasing various tourism potentials in Denpasar City.
“We are present at BBTF 2024 so that the potential of Denpasar City will be better known and more tourists will visit and spend time in Denpasar City, especially in Sanur, which is the tourist center in Denpasar City,” said Gusde.
Meanwhile, Kadek Pariani, a member of the Denpasar City Regional Tourism Promotion Board (BPBD), said that Denpasar City has funding that can be used for tourism promotion. One form of management is through gatherings, table tops and showcases, as is the case with participating in BBTF 2024. This promotional effort was carried out to promote Denpasar City tourist destinations to the public.
“We joined BBTF because this is a form of support for regional government programs, as well as increasing the selling power of Bali tourism. “Apart from that, we want to build good branding for Denpasar City,” explained Kadek Pariani in Hall 2, BICC (13/06).
Furthermore, according to him, Denpasar itself has many tourism destinations, ranging from underwater destinations, marine destinations, tourist attractions, to infrastructure support such as convention centers and international hospitals to support Bali’s tourism wheels.
“Denpasar does have a highlight in Sanur, but the government is trying to develop other destinations. For example, Serangan, which is also currently on the rise, is being heavily promoted as a new tourist village in Denpasar. “There it has been arranged better by the Tourism Department, there are local culinary areas, tourist attractions, all of which have been arranged in stages,” continued Kadek Pariani.
On the occasion of BBTF this year, the Denpasar City Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (BPBD) collaborated with a number of accommodation service providers and tourist attractions to promote their products in the Denpasar City booth.
“The booth itself highlighted things that are characteristic of the city of Denpasar, such as the line dance, jukung and sunrise. Because line dance is already included in the Denpasar City tourism logo, we are trying to bring in other elements. We are also grateful to CV. “Asia’s Treasure and the team who helped build the booth by taking the jukung icon very well and professionally,” said Kadek Pariani.
Meanwhile, Wira, Director of CV.Asia’s Treasure, admitted that he was happy to collaborate with the Denpasar City Tourism Office and Denpasar City BPPD who really support the implementation of creative ideas. “I really enjoyed working on this booth because it uses an eco-friendly and sustainable concept that packages organic materials with a modern touch,” said Wira.
The 10th BBTF will continue to be held until June 14 2024 with activities such as stock exchanges, business meetings and talks featuring government, academics and and tourism industry representatives. The hope is that BBTF 2024 will be able to boost Indonesian tourism, especially Bali, as well as build further connectivity with other countries.***
