Maison Aurelia Sanur Presents L’Art de Bali: A Celebration of Balinese Art and Heritage

by Igo Kleden

SANUR, ULTIMOPARADISO.COM – Maison Aurelia Sanur is honoured to announce the launch of L’Art de Bali, an exclusive art exhibition dedicated to showcasing the finest in contemporary and traditional Balinese artistry. Set against the hotel’s French classic interior, this curated collection offers guests an intimate encounter with the island’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

In a spirit that marries refined elegance with the soulful charm of Bali, L’Art de Bali features the evocative works of renowned local artists. Nyoman Wijaya’s Temple Series distils centuries of devotion into bold, expressive inkstick strokes, capturing the quiet reverence and unseen labour that underpin sacred rituals in his hometown, Tabanan Regency. In contrast, Ketut Ridana’s luminous oil paintings bring Bali’s spiritual pulse to life, portraying the dynamic interplay of ceremony and faith with a mastery of light and texture. Both artists are represented by Bundhowi from Anvang Art. Bundhowi himself is a curator at Museum Rudana & Rudana Fine Art Gallery, Gianyar.

General Manager Pauline Mottoulle commented, “It is an honour and a privilege to present this exhibition. At Maison Aurelia, we believe that our hotel is more than a place to stay—it is a gateway to experiencing Bali’s timeless art and culture. Tonight, our guests are invited to step into a dialogue between tradition and modernity, where each piece offers an intimate glimpse into Bali’s artistic soul.”

Maison Aurelia Sanur, a boutique hotel celebrated for its understated luxury and commitment to exposing Balinese art and culture to a broader audience, provides the perfect setting for this exhibition. With its refined ambiance, spacious and elegantly appointed guestrooms, and a harmonious blend of Balinese charm and French-inspired sophistication, Maison Aurelia Sanur is dedicated to creating experiences that are as memorable as they are meaningful.

L’Art de Bali is set to become a significant cultural event in Sanur, offering both art enthusiasts and casual visitors a unique opportunity to witness and appreciate the vibrant artistic traditions of Bali.
