BALI – Megibung is a tradition of eating together in one container originallyfrom Karangasem, Bali. The uniqueness of away of eating is full of the value of togetherness, strengthening friendships so that they get to know each other by exchanging opinions, stories and discussing while eating meals with relatives.
Megibung tradition was introduced by the previous King of Karangasem in 1692 BC, when he sat down to eat with his soldiers at a celebration. Until now, Balinese people still maintain and preserve this tradition, even megibung is also known as a way of eating aristocratic style.This special and meaningful dish is loved by the customers of Bali Timbungan.
Megibung menu is served in a container of Balinese Dulang with banana leaves. This appetizing treat consists of Bebek Timbungan, Ayam Bakar Biru Maru, Sate Lilit Ikan, Sate Bawah Pohon Jambu, Kerang Bumbu Kacang, Udang Goreng Tepung, Cumi Goreng Tepung, Bergedel Jagung, Sup Sari Segara, Urap Paku, Kacang Panjang Kalasan and Shrimp Crackers.
