The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy also appreciated the innovation made by Poltekpar Bali in accommodating the needs of entrepreneurs and opening up job opportunities in Indonesia.
As a vocational education institution in the tourism sector that is in great demand in Bali, Poltekpar Bali started this September 2024 with a brilliant first step. Responding to the challenge of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, in producing graduates who are able to open up job opportunities (entrepreneurs), the Polytechnic of Tourism officially built the Integrated Business Building.
“This is the great mission of Poltekpar Bali as a vocational education institution in the field of tourism and hospitality. The construction of the Integrated Business Building is a forum for Poltekpar Bali students to develop their potential in the field of entrepreneurship and accommodate the development of entrepreneurship with stakeholders and other business actors,” said the Director of Poltekpar Bali, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M.Kes when giving a speech.
Ida Bagus Putu Puja explained that the purpose of entrepreneurship at Poltekpar Bali is to create an enterprise culture and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
“The definition of entrepreneurship at Poltekpar Bali must be expanded to academic entrepreneurship, namely how higher education institutions have an entrepreneurial orientation, increase entrepreneurial competency, and implement entrepreneurial processes that can break through old ways, and find innovations that contribute to socio-economic development in Indonesia,” said Dr. Puja.
The construction of the Integrated Business Building is also inseparable from the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in developing agents of change in encouraging the birth of more entrepreneurs at Poltekpar Bali.
The inauguration of the Poltekpar Bali Integrated Business Building was carried out directly by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno through the signing of the inscription. During his visit to Poltekpar Bali, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy received an attractive gift in the form of a book by a Poltekpar Bali lecturer which was handed over directly by the Head of the Center for Research and Community Service (P3M), Dr. Putu Diah Sastri Pitanatri, S.ST.Par., M.Par.
The presence of the Integrated Business Building of Poltekpar Bali is highly anticipated by all academics at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic and the community.
