The grand opening took place on Saturday (08/02/2025) and was attended by the Consul General of India in Bali along with other distinguished guests.

Shilpa Dave, the Founder and CEO of Ganesha Ek Sanskriti, shared that the restaurant offers an authentic taste of Indian cuisine, complemented by a seaside ambiance with a signature sunset view. Discovery Mall was chosen as the location due to its popularity as a tourist destination for visitors from various countries.

In 2024, the number of Indian tourists visiting Bali reached 440,415, making them the second-largest group of visitors after Australians, with an increase of 24.97 percent. Shilpa, who has a background in nutrition, was also inspired to venture into the food industry.“I came to Indonesia without knowing what I would do. My background in nutrition and dietetics led me to consider the food industry. My husband fully supported me, and eventually, we decided to become entrepreneurs,” Shilpa said at a press conference at Discovery Mall Kuta on Saturday (08/02/2025).

The Ganesha Ek Sanskriti branch at Discovery Mall Kuta is now the largest in Bali, with a seating capacity of up to 500 guests. The menu features iconic Indian dishes, including curries, kebabs, and a variety of vegetarian options, all prepared using high-quality ingredients and authentic Indian recipes.

“We always strive to provide the best for our customers. It’s not just about the food; it’s also about the culture and traditions of India, which we present in an elegant setting,” said Vinod Upreti, Group General Manager of Ganesha Ek Sanskriti.

Key ingredients such as garam masala and cumin are directly imported from India to ensure the highest quality and authenticity of flavours. The restaurant also employs Indian chefs to maintain traditional cooking methods.

“We also respect our customers' dietary preferences, offering both pure vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes. We do not use preservatives,” Vinod added.

Additionally, Ganesha Ek Sanskriti provides a complete culinary experience with live counters serving dosa and papri chaat, allowing customers to watch the food preparation process in real time.***Sandra G
