“We agree to have an exhibition that is based on a contemplation of these issues, he says on Thursday (12/9/2019). According to Redika the title “Samya” is taken from Kawi language, which means balance or balanced. It is the peak of all the mind rebellion of these artists and how a balance can be achieved. The imbalance happening everywhere has threatened the life order. The facts and dreams about idealizing life has developed within borders which can touch each other in time.
The Balinese have a reference to Trihita Karana, however Bali itself now has lost its awareness in bringing true meaning to this sacred philosophy. So, now we now only enjoy a balance that is unbalanced.
This is the full statement from Komunitas Nitirupa on this ‘Samya” exhibition:
The breath is awareness about life.
And life is the balance of the universe.
The breath cycle when its swirling current passes through the earth and the heart is a sign of life. The flow must be balanced throughout the rotation. When the balance is not reached, surely life will be disturbed, so whoever desires to live he/she must guard the balance of his/her breath.
Another meaning breath is also interpreted as energy, the power that grows awareness to align needs in the life cycle, where in the end the balance between them will produce true happiness.
This is the basis thought for this exhibition.
The word “Samya” is taken from Kawi language, which means balanced.
Invisible observation of the threat of imbalance that also threatens current life happens in various places.
The elements of the earth that were created to be treated, precisely crushed on the basis of self interest.
Culture, even God’s territory reduced to be merchandise.
Declining human consciousness, degradation of mind in keeping every step that is strengthening the breath of life has become an inspiration in the power of creation and the footing of visual creation for Nitirupa.
The work displayed is a piece of flavor for its artist for their innovation and ability to capture the essence of balance itself.
Bali, always tells about Trihita Karana, but Bali is now increasingly losing the shape of awareness in giving true meaning to the philosophy of Trihita Karana.
So, what we are enjoying is just a balance of the unbalance.
Owner of Santrian Art Gallery Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, said he was so proud to exhibit Samya artwork. “We also invite support from art lovers so our art gallery can consistently exhibit artworks to accommodate artist creativity,” he said. (*)
